An Open Letter to the Person Who Shot Out the Lights at Our Business
To the individual who chose to shoot out the lights on the front of our business:
We want you to know that your actions did not go unnoticed. What might have felt like a reckless moment or a careless act of destruction was more than just breaking a bulb — it was an attack on something we have worked hard to build for our community.
Those lights were not just decoration. They were a symbol of safety for our employees who come and go after dark, a welcome to the customers who support us, and a reminder that our doors are open to serve. In destroying them, you didn’t just damage property — you put people at risk, our children included.
We don’t know your reasons. Maybe it was mischief, maybe anger, maybe just thoughtless behavior. Whatever the cause, we want to be clear: this will not break our spirit or stop us from showing up every day. We will repair, we will move forward, and we will continue to shine a light for our community — whether you like it or not.
Acts like this don’t just affect one business — they weaken the fabric of our community. Today, we send a message that destruction has no place here, and that we will not be intimidated or discouraged.
And to the person who pulled the trigger: we hope you take a moment to reflect on what you’ve done and realize that your actions matter. You can choose to do better next time.
