We’re 10 short days away from PNW

Team leaves in a few days for set up and transporting these units 1100 miles each way. Stop us and say hi if you see us along the route to Redmond!!

As we prepare for OverlandExpo, PNW - the team took a quick trip to Estes Park, Colorado with .schweikert in our SX 2.0.

Built on the Chevrolet 6500 with a 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel and 6-speed Allison transmission - this four-wheel-drive vehicle is ready to explore.

We’ve changed a few few features from the first version of SX, including:

-a wider entry door
-rear L-shaped dinette
-24v system (1.0 had 12v)

With a washer and dryer combination, huge kitchen appliance galley, exterior pass-through storage, and full bathroom - the hardest decision is who to bring with you. The InvisCook induction stove-top makes preparing food inside very convenient, regardless of the weather outside.

Some bullet points for water, fuel, and energy capacity:

-120g of fresh water
-100g of diesel
-55g gray water
-24,000-watt hour lithium ion battery bank
-1800 W solar capacity on the roof
-9,000 W inverter

The hot showers after a long hike in the snow, the home cooked meals in the middle of nowhere, the ability to go off grid for long periods of time, the company you are with, and the amazing sleep in a bed that is more comfortable than any hotel.”
