Some dense fog in spots today, here’s a few tips as you head down the road:

1. Slow down and increase following distance: Fog reduces visibility and depth perception. Reduce your speed and leave extra space (at least 5–6 seconds) between you and the vehicle ahead so you have more time to react.
2. Use low-beam headlights or fog lights — never high beams: High beams reflect off the fog and make it harder to see. Low beams aim downward and help you see lane markings and the road edge more clearly.
3. Use the right lane line or road edge as a visual guide. Make smooth, gradual steering and braking inputs to prevent skidding or surprising other drivers.

STAY SAFE OUT THERE:
BASIC WINTER DRIVING TIPS

While the weather outside is frightful and the fire is so delightful... we’d honestly recommend staying inside today!

However, if you do have to head out, here are a few essential tips to keep you and your vehicle on the road:

Clear Your View: Clean your vehicle completely—including the roof. Your vision is the most important tool you have as a driver.

Buffer Your Space: Allow extra time and distance to react to hazards and changing road conditions.

The Power of "Smooth": Focus on smooth acceleration, smooth braking, and smooth steering. Abrupt movements are the enemy of traction.

Let’s all make it home safely today.
