Enjoy the sounds of the breeze through the pines, birds singing and calm surroundings in a safe, small town atmosphere. Beaver Lake Campground, located on Hwy 16, 3.5 miles west of Custer, SD is right in the middle of the Southern Black Hills and is family and pet friendly. We offer camping with relaxation and tranquility. We are a family operated campground with spacious level, pine shaded or open sites. Beaver Lake Campground can accommodate any size RV or Tent. We have a full range of cabins from the simple sleeping cabin to larger cabins with kitchenette's and bathrooms. While staying here you and you family will enjoy our children's playground, horse shoes, volleyball, basketball and our heated pool Beaver Lake Campground cabins and rv sites all have free cable hookups and Wifi is free throughout the park. We can fill propane bottles, have a public dump, rv parts and supplies as well as souvenirs, picnic and grocery supplies.

Fall weather has been great here in the Black Hills. Really a magical time to visit all the great sites like Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore National Memorial and one of our favorites is Jewel Cave National Monument. A few hundred feet down, the temps just stay fall like all year long.

Thinking about heading to the Crazy Horse Volksmarch?
It’s one of the most popular organized hikes in the country, and it’s happening again at Crazy Horse Memorial. Hikers can choose the 5K or 10K route and enjoy incredible views, including the chance to stand right on the arm of Crazy Horse.

Admission is waived with a donation of 3 canned goods for the Care & Share Food Drive, and the trail is open for hiking from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If you’re in the Black Hills during the event, it’s a great way to spend a day outdoors and experience something truly Black Hills must do.

Visit Crazy Horse Memorial®, the world’s largest mountain carving in progress, honoring Native American heritage. Explore the museum, cultural center, and breathtaking views in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
