This Corvette got the attention and care it deserved the first time around! Aside from some razor marks from the last job, everything was reversible and cleaned up quite well.
There’s no such thing as a perfect install, yes that includes us. Yes we have had flaws in the past that we have had to fix, and we have fixed them. Let me go ahead and get that out of the way. However, when this client brought me the car initially he said something just felt off about the PPF work and he wanted a second opinion.
I told him that it wasn’t the worst I’d ever seen, and since he didn’t come out of pocket for it, he could leave it as is if he could live with the flaws. He decided he couldn’t, so we got this taken care of for him.
Being obsessive about PPF is expensive, sometimes it means redoing pieces, customizing patterns, spending hours on prep, chasing out debris, the list goes on. But it means we have a result we can stand behind, and that the client will love.
Lifting edges, excessive debris, misaligned panels, razor marks on your paint…this isn’t just “normal” or “cost of doing business.” You should rightfully be skeptical of a service provider who tries to tell you otherwise. Have a conversation with your service provider to make sure the job you expect is the job you get!
