Its a great diagnostic technique to share with customers and give them a general estimate of the repair, without expensive tear down costs.

2012 Dodge Ram Turbo

HE 300 VG Model - turbo sector shaft gear has position markings on the turbo housing. Pay special attention to the number of teeth that are centered on the circle when the gear is in the full left position. It’s approximately 4 1/2 teeth from the left.
