Most people think batteries fail in winter.

But heat does more long-term damage.

High temperatures speed up the chemical reactions inside your battery. Over time, that accelerates internal wear, shortens lifespan, and weakens performance.

Then when demand spikes — your vehicle struggles to start.

Summer doesn’t usually cause sudden failure.
It quietly reduces reserve strength.

Checking battery health before it becomes obvious is one of the simplest ways to avoid an inconvenient breakdown.

Every drive ends the same way.

Whether you're dropping the kids off at school, heading to work, or squeezing in one last summer road trip, every drive eventually comes to a stop.

That's why August is Brake Safety Awareness Month. Your brakes are one of the hardest-working safety systems on your vehicle, and taking a few minutes to have them inspected can make all the difference.

Schedule your appointment today and make sure your vehicle is ready for wherever the road takes you—and safely back home.

07/31/2026

🚗⚡ Braking usually means you're losing energy...unless you're driving a hybrid or EV.

Those vehicles use regenerative braking, which captures energy every time you slow down and converts it into electricity to help recharge the battery.

So every stoplight, stop sign, or downhill coast gives the battery a little boost. Technology has come a long way!

07/25/2026

When we inspect your vehicle, we don’t just look.

We document.

Photos. Notes. Measurements.

Not because something is wrong — but because clarity matters.

Documentation protects you.

It shows what we see, when we see it, and how it changes over time.

It turns opinions into evidence.

And recommendations into informed decisions.

You should never have to guess why a service is suggested.

07/23/2026

Added weight increases the force your brakes have to manage.

When a vehicle is loaded with passengers, gear, or equipment, it requires more distance to come to a complete stop — even at the same speed.

More load means more braking demand.

Before road trips or heavy hauling, it’s worth accounting for that added stress.

07/20/2026

Freedom isn’t just about where you can go—
it’s about knowing you can get there with confidence.

Confidence comes from knowing your brakes will stop when you need them to, your tires are ready for the miles ahead, and your vehicle is prepared for whatever the rest of summer has in store.

Whether your vehicle is due for routine maintenance or needs a little extra attention, these July offers can help.

Smushed bugs are more than just gross - they’re tiny acid bombs!

When insects hit your car at highway speeds, their guts spread across your paint and bake in the sun. Then, their innards eat into your clear coat.

That’s why automakers test paint chemistry in labs using synthetic bug “splat” mixtures. The paint coatings need to resist pH damage, etching, fading, and corrosion.

✅TL;DR:
· Wash bug guts off ASAP
· Wax your car to create a protective barrier
· Don’t underestimate the chemistry of a squashed mosquito

Before road trips were a thing, there was Bertha Benz - the world’s first long-distance driver. In 1888, she secretly took her husband’s invention - the Benz Patent-Motorwagen - on a 66-mile journey across Germany.

She left Karl a note (he was still asleep), grabbed their teenage sons, and pushed the three-wheeled car down the road to avoid waking him up. The mission? Visit her mother…and prove to the public (and Karl) that the automobile was ready for the real world.

Along the way, she cleared a clogged fuel line with a hairpin, insulated a wire with her garter, and even convinced a cobbler to add leather to the worn-out brakes. When she got home, she gave Karl a list of improvement ideas, including better brakes and a gear for climbing hills.

🚘Bertha didn't just drive into history. She changed it.

Remember the License Plate Game?

This classic road trip pastime is more than just a way to kill time - it helps reduce passenger boredom, keeps kids engaged, and sparks state-themed conversations.

🎯The challenge: Spot license plates from all 50 states before you reach your destination. Bonus points for Alaska or Hawaii!
🚗No screen time. No meltdowns. Just friendly competition and a sharp eye.

💡Road trip hack: Print out a U.S. map for kids to color each state as they spot it.

Fun Fact Friday!

Meet the Amphicar - half car, half boat, all vibes. 💡 Built in West Germany in 1961, it was the first mass-produced amphibious automobile, with just under 4,000 made.

The Amphicar Model 770 could hit ~70 mph on land and ~7 knots on water (hence the “770” in its name). You’d need to grease it in 13 places (including under the seat!) after every swim - but hey, it was the only car that let you skip the bridge entirely.

Iconic, weird, and just the right amount of impractical.
