It’s in the aftermath of class—an instructor’s hardest moment.
Not when they’re there asking questions, reading, growing, and understanding.
After.
When you move the chairs and silently pray they understood how important their life and safety are.
When you sweep under the tables while replaying your explanation of intersections and traffic lights.
Remembering every student’s face. Searching their expressions for understanding or confusion.
Placing the chairs back and remembering:
one student wants to be a lawyer.
Another wants to be a doctor.
The next says they’re going to run for office because some of the laws we learn are dumb—and they want to change them 😊
It’s a silent prayer that they travel safely into the lives they’re dreaming about.
It’s a plea to God that they’ll have the courage to find another ride or simply say no when something doesn’t look or feel right.
It’s asking the Holy Spirit to remind them to wear their seatbelt.
It’s knowing you did everything you could to prepare them—and hoping they heard you. ❤️💛
Our instructors talk a lot about that feeling after class, and it felt like a thought worth sharing.
