This customer reached out after hearing noise from the front brakes on his 2006 Ford F-350 food truck. Since they were already set up and serving, we grabbed our tools and headed their way!

Luckily, the brake pads had worn down just in time—we were able to replace them and save the rotors. We got the truck safely back on the road so they could get back to serving their customers.

A customer contacted us after their 2000 Chevy Silverado 2WD developed a hard pull to the right after hitting a couple of potholes.

During our inspection, we found the passenger-side front wheel bearing was completely worn out and the driver-side upper ball joint was bad. We replaced the wheel bearing and upper control arm, and got the truck back on the road safely.

Thanks for trusting Grease Monkey Garage with your repairs! Need service? Give us a call—we offer both shop and mobile service in Crossville, TN.

This customer reached out about a 1998 Toyota Tacoma V6 4x4 that had been sitting for years. After installing a fresh battery and seeing the odometer at 337,000 miles, we got to work tracking down the no-start.

Fuel pressure was low, and the original fuel pump and filter were still in place. We replaced both, bringing fuel pressure back where it needed to be. The Tacoma still had a hard start and wasn’t running right, so we continued diagnosing and found a faulty mass airflow sensor. With that replaced, it started and ran great.

We also found there was no clutch pedal. After checking the clutch system, we replaced the master cylinder and bled the system.

Now this high-mileage Tacoma starts, runs, and drives like it has 100,000 miles on it! The customer was very pleased, and we’re glad we could get it back on the road.

Thank you for choosing Grease Monkey Garage!

Had a customer call us from Cookeville about their 2002 Land Cruiser with over 300,000 miles. They were hearing a belt squeal and a little “mouse squeak” from the front end, so we made the trip down to check it out.

The belt squeal turned out to be a locked-up tensioner pulley—the belt was smoking against it! We replaced the tensioner and got the Land Cruiser back on the road.

We also tracked down the front-end squeak to the brakes. The front brakes and rotors are scheduled to be replaced soon. And keep an eye out for a C10 project you’ll be seeing from us before long!

Had a buddy get ahold of me for a no start, electrical short problem on his 95 corvette, sourced out the problems with the o2 sensor wiring and the starter wiring was melted, located some pigtails and made it right! All heat shrinked, taped and wire loomed, good as new!

Had a customer contact us about the brakes on their 2008 Chevy Silverado. The front brake pads had worn down too far, and one pad was completely gone, damaging the rotor and caliper on that side.

We replaced the passenger-side front rotor and caliper, installed new pads on both front wheels, and cleaned and greased the calipers. We also performed an electronic brake bleed with our scan tool and changed the brake fluid in the master cylinder, since it was in rough shape.

We recommended a few items to keep an eye on for the near future, but this Silverado is back on the road and ready to serve all your pest-control needs! Another happy customer—thanks for trusting us with your vehicle!

Had this customer bring in their 1997 GMC Suburban 4x4 with the common P1870 code, which indicates torque converter clutch slippage and it wouldn’t stay in overdrive or lockup. The vehicle had already been to a couple of shops, and they were recommending another transmission.

We replaced the TCC valve with a Fitzall one-piece billet valve and performed a fluid drain and fill with a new pan gasket. The filter had been replaced recently, so it didn’t need to be changed.

After a couple of test drives, it runs, drives, and shifts smoothly and holds the gears as it should. This is a fantastic upgrade for the 4L60E!

Get ahold of us for your repair needs, and thanks again for trusting us with your vehicle!

Had a previous customer call us earlier about their 2022 GMC L5P that had a dead battery and wouldn’t start. We grabbed our tools, picked up a replacement battery, and headed out to get them back on the road.

We found the failed battery on the passenger side, replaced it, and cleared the codes. The truck started right up with no problems!

Another happy repeat customer! Thanks for continuing to trust Grease Monkey Garage with your vehicle needs.

Had this customer drop off their 2023 Ram and 2022 Buick tonight for oil changes and a general look-over. While checking the Buick, we found some codes related to a known GM bulletin. We recommended having GM check it out for a possible warranty repair before we price the job, so we can help save them some money if it’s covered!

Please like, share, and follow to keep up with what we’re working on. Every bit of support helps our small business grow!
