🏁RACE RECAP FROM 6/13 @ 35🏁
First and foremost want to thank everyone who was busting their tail yesterday helping us as we was running into some issues with both cars!
Hotlaps
Tyler
- Tyler was having some issues with the engine misfiring before it was time for hotlaps. Everyone was digging around trying to figure out what was causing it. Checked the wiring harness up and down found an issue there and got that fixed the best we could but then it was still misfiring. Come to find out one of the spark plugs broke so we got that taken care of then he went out of the track and the car seemed to be running good & looked good.
Bree
- As we all know Bree had a horrible tumble a few weekends ago and we was able to get all the parts in and car stripped and back together. Last night was her first night back since then. Unfortunately when we got to the track and got the new fuel pump all hooked up as our parts guy had it we went to start the car up and the ignition and everything would turn on but it wouldn’t crank over. We finally found the issue which was a short in the ground wire got that fixed and got her running however she did miss getting out with her class but thankfully the track officials let her out on the track to run a few laps when all the classes was done. Once she made a full lap around the track the engine began acting and spitting and sputtering like it wasn’t getting any fuel. So brought her back in and noticed a leak in the fuel line so we fixed that.
Heats
Tyler
- Tyler went out for heats started 3rd row inside once again car seemed to be running great and sounded great also. Came in made a few adjustments and was ready for the feature.
Bree
- Unfortunately, as the green flag dropped and everyone took off Bree did not. She said it was running fine and sounded fine and she was up on second gear and when she stomped on the fuel when the green dropped it just wouldn’t go so she shifted it back to first gear and ended up pulling off the track. Once she got it back to the trailer she noticed there was more liquid dripping on the right side. So she grabbed the jack and jacked the car up and discovered a small hole/crack on the bottom of the engine which ended her night. We was hoping and praying that the engine wasn’t hurt from the wreck but it’s seeming like it’s possible. The engine however runs fine and runs great it’s only when she gets into the fuel so we are hoping it’s possibly a fuel issue but we will get it tore apart and figure it out.
Feature
Tyler
- Feature rolls around for Tyler and he started on the outside pole! Few laps into the feature and you can hear his engine not sounding good again. He did however stayed out on the track and finished the race. We will be having it looked over and hopefully discover the issue. We believe it could possibly be the wiring harness but we will see!
Not sure at the moment when we will be back to racing as it could be a few weeks as we look the cars over and get them where they need to be. Stay tuned and just keep an eye on our race page! We will keep everyone updated on the progress!
