🌾 H**p’s next market might not be what you expect.

Researchers have developed a new CBD-based plastic made from h**p-derived cannabidiol (CBD) that could one day replace certain petroleum-based plastics used in packaging, electronics, and industrial materials.

The material — called pCBDC — is heat resistant, durable, flexible, and over 90% bio-based.

That matters because most plant-based plastics today can’t handle the temperatures or performance demands needed for higher-end manufacturing.

This new h**p-derived material could change that.

Even more interesting:
✔️ It’s made without the extra chemical catalysts many plastics require
✔️ It may offer an alternative to BPA-based plastics
✔️ Researchers are exploring uses in energy systems, automotive components, electronics, and advanced manufacturing
