Local garage charged a customer $3,200 for 4 tires and 4 brake calipers. Our cost for the same job would have been around $2,000 — saving the customer $1,200 while making sure the work was done correctly the first time.
Unfortunately, the calipers were installed on the wrong sides and upside down. Because of that, the brake system couldn’t be properly bled, leaving the customer with non-functioning brakes. Just because a shop is a big-name company doesn’t always mean the job will be done right.
Now we have to fix what they couldn’t, and the customer ends up paying twice for the same repair. Quality workmanship still matters.
