ET Customs Tyler Alkire Racing

ET Customs Tyler Alkire Racing Tyler Alkire Racing is a racing team out of Cresaptown, Maryland racing primarily at tracks in the T He continued in that division through the 2008 season.

Tyler Alkire built his fist race car in late 2006 at the age of 15. He started in the 4 cylinder division at The Rock Speedway in Cumberland, Md. In 2009, Tyler decided to take some time off from racing in order to study Automotive Technology at Allegany College of Maryland. He quickly realized that racing at the dirt track had become part of his everyday life and that it was not easy to walk away

from. He then got involved with the dirt late model team of Matt Emerick Racing where he learned the ins and outs of a late model over the next 4 years. In 2013 Tyler decided it was time to get back into a car and decided to build a pure stock which his team finished in the latter half of the season. They made it to seven races at The Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pa in 2013 which they think gave them enough of a feel for the car to come into the 2014 season ready to be a serious contender. 2014 didn't bring the luck the team had hoped for. 5 races in and 4 wrecks later the car had seen too much to continue. The team spent the rest of 2014 fundraising and building a new car for 2015. The first race of 2015 in a brand new car brought the team their first win. They continued as a competitive pure stock team for the next few years eventually winning a championship @ The Greater Cumberland Raceway in 2019.
2020 was a year of uncertainty for everyone and the team took the year off.
2021 is brining new challenges to the team as they partner with awesome new supporters. Stay Tuned!

We all love coffee, so what are the best coffee shops in each state? If you find yourself in any of these cities, these coffee shops are a must-hit.

As we attend our last racing event of 2021 (as spectators of course) I want to thank everyone for their support this year. We decided to make a leap to a class that we had little knowledge about and it was a big learning curve for both the crew and the driver.
A major thank you to all the fans that support us, all of the crew, and all of our sponsors! Thanks to Lasbaugh's West Bar and Grill (coming soon to Frostburg), Lashbaugh's Towing, Basecamp Coffee Co., and The Valley Tavern.
Without the support of these local businesses and our families it would be very hard to do what we love to do! Thank you all and we will see you in 2022.

As we prepare to go racing today at The Greater Cumberland Speedway, the memory of this day 20 years ago weighs heavy on our minds. God bless the family members of those who lost their lives that day. Let us never forget that day and let us always remember the unity of the country and the days that followed.

Though the topic of current times always seems to be division, I pray it never takes an act like this to bring us together again.

Everyone please keep the families of these 2 gentlemen in your prayers. They were both heavily involved in the local racing community in their lifetimes and will be greatly missed by many.

What a busy month July has been!

We made it back to The Greater Cumberland Raceway on July 10th where we had a good run going until the final corner on the final lap. We had our left rear wheel bearing fail and the only thing that kept the wheel on the car was the rotor and caliper. The crew spent countless hours over the last 2 weeks fixing the rear and making adjustments.

Last night we made our 602 Sport Mod debut at The Bedford Speedway. It was great to be back to a track that I haven't ran on for the last 3 years or so. Unfortunately, my time away in addition to a new class showed. We lost the car in turn 4 during the heat race but was able to recover to a 4th place finish. We lined up seventh in the feature and after a few incidents came up short of finishing.

The car is one piece and we will be back at it again. Thank you to our crew and our sponsors for all that they do. None of this is possible without them.

Thank you to Lashbaughs Bar & Grill, Basecamp Coffee Co., The Valley Tavern, and Lashbaughs Towing!!

Unfortunately we still don't have the car 100% from our incident a few weeks ago. We will not be @ The Greater Cumberland Raceway this evening. Thank you to our sponsors for sticking with us through these struggles and a big thank you to my crew for their efforts to get the car back together! We hope to see you all back at the track soon!

Had a blast last night @ The Greater Cumberland Raceway even though our night didn't end well! Started P10 in the feature and worked our way up to P5 before upsetting the car in turn one and spinning in front of traffic. We have a lot of damage to fix but are happy to be headed the right direction. Thank you to our amazing sponsors Lasbaugh's West, Valley Tavern, Basecamp Coffee, and Lashbaugh's Towing! Also, go check out the page for Kenny's Hope for Childhood Cancer to support all the work they are doing!

Thank you to the track for getting the show in. Though these tracks get a lot of flack for canceling or not canceling and the delays they incur, these tracks are doing their best to give us a track to run and some are learning as they go. Thank you to the track crew and the safety crews for their work!

This week we raced at The Greater Cumberland Raceway. First off, hats off to all of the people involved in the track work and track prep this week. The track was as smooth as it has ever been and the dust was minimal.

We had some learning experiences and had a decent car in the feature. The more laps we get under our belts the faster we will get.

Thank you to all of our supporters and sponsors for all they do! Can't wait to celebrate the opening of Lashbaugh's West in Frostburg. They are working on big things! Also make sure to stop in to Basecamp Coffee in Cumberland to get your coffee and tea fix this week! Tell Hayden we sent you.

We will be racing The Greater Cumberland Raceway next Saturday for the Brian Ringer Memorial race. Hope to see you there!

Today is the day we start the learning curve of a new class! We are so thankful to have the support of so many people and local businesses!

Thank you to Lasbaugh's West Bar & Grill, Old Valley Tavern, and Lashbaugh's Towing. Jimmy and Sandy are wonderful people and do so much for the local community.

Thank you to Basecamp Coffee Co.! Awesome people with an awesome product and a growing business!

Also, we are sporting our Kenny's Hope for Childhood Cancer logo to keep supporting the awareness of the charity.

Last but not least, thank you to Sandy and Keith Filsinger, Larry and Marlee, Mom and Bob, and Meredith. All of you have supported me for years and I am so thankful for it.

I couldn't do any of it with out my crew. Thanks Eric, Mat, Cameron, and Brad. Also, thank you to their significant others for the hours they sacrifice and to my girlfriend Fin for all she tolerates.

Here's to a good year of learning and keeping our nose clean!
