Another platinum caterpillar overhaul wrapped up this week for a local customer. Had the most wore out cylinder liners I've seen and broken compression rings on 5 out of 6 pistons. Also had a damaged camshaft lobe for the #1 injector.

Started as a broken rocker shaft and damaged cylinder head on this Cat 3406E. Turned into pulling the engine and it receiving a complete front to back reseal with new cylinder head and new clutch. This customer's truck is a working class show truck that needed some under the hood love to match the beautiful exterior. Now the hood will be up at the next truck show displaying some of DCA's quality work.

Some new steer tires and wheels to go along with a Sunday bath. Gotta keep the money maker making money.

Customer complaint of excessive oil consumption in this Caterpillar C-15. Customer decided to go ahead with platinum overhaul. After cylinder head, piston, and liner removal, found 5 out of 6 liners were mirror polished. Compression rings broken on most cylinders and counterbore damaged on multiple cylinders. Will get counterbore cut and shimmed along with platinum overhaul.

This job was brought in as a coolant consumption issue. After teardown found cylinder head grooved from combustion and block cracked between #1 and #2 cylinders. Customer decided to go with a used engine. Replaced engine with a supplied used engine. Customer has been back running with no issues since repair.

Was called out to confirm a failed front differential. Failed front differential had been ran low in oil. Cleaned axle housing and wheel ends to install new diff and found spindles cut from improperly adjusted wheel bearings. Customer decided to replace both axle housings with a more common, cheaper alternative. Swap included all new wheel seals, pinion seals, thru-shaft seal, and suspension bushings.

This customer came in for a scheduled timing cover reseal, flywheel housing reseal, and clutch in a SOHC Cummins ISX. After thorough inspection, found charge air cooler cracked, fan clutch bypassing air, 5 out of 6 intake rocker arm rollers damaged and camshaft damaged. Customer replaced all damaged parts and continues to make money every day with a better performing, and leak free engine.

This International DT466E had seen better days. These engines will last forever as long as they don't get hot. This particular engine got all the heat and damaged multiple pistons and cylinder liners. Customer received a complete overhaul with new timing cover and radiator. When the cooling system can't keep up from low flow through the radiator or loose fan belt, you can expect to pay the consequences.

Customer with a older Peterbilt 359 didn't have air conditioning for over a year since the engine was replaced. Complete build from scratch AC system with all new compressor, condenser, evaporator, drier, hoses, fittings, switches, wiring, you name it and it was new.
