Chrome Roses Ladies Motorcycle Riding Group was formed by Karen Vernetti of D&K Service Cycle in Cottonwood. The group's mission is to give women riders in the area a chance to meet other lady riders, to socialize, participate in community event and to enjoy riding on the beautiful scenic Arizona highways.

GRAND CANYON RIDE THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH.
It is time for a ride to the beautiful Grand Canyon. The weather forecast is for sunny skies.

Here is the lowdown for the ride:

Meet at Sizzler Parking lot in Cottonwood at 8:00am, kickstands up at 8:30am. Head up the interstate to Flagstaff, take 89 to Cameron, have brunch there and then head out to the South Rim. Make sure to bring water and snacks. You can purchase them inside the park, but many of the stops only have restrooms. There will be plenty of photo opportunities and rest stops.

In the afternoon, we will head out of the park to Williams and stop for dessert, and then down to the Verde Valley. Hope to see a good crowd for this great ride. Message or email for further details.

Meet at 10:15 a.m. at #1 Store- Last roundabout before heading to Jerome. Route is over Mingus Mountain through Chino Valley to Ash Fork, then on I-40 to Williams. Lunch at the Pine Country Restaurant, then back on I-40 to Flagstaff and down I-17 to Verde Valley. Hope you can make it.

Cottonwood Adopt for Life is packed and needs to get dogs out asap. Rescue help urgently needed. PICTURES COMING ASAP

On top of the usual load 11 dogs were tied to their fence when staff came in this morning. Word from people in the area is that there are about 20 more still at large. Some are pure bred elkhounds, others mixes. Mostly elkhound and shepherd mixes. there is a litter of 6 one month old puppies, a large female, 2 juveniles and more expected before end of day.
IF ANYONE CAN TAKE ANY DOGS FROM COTTONWOOD ADOPT FOR LIFE PLEASE CONTACT LISA DIRECTLY AT [email protected] phone 928-554-8353. There are all kinds of breeds, breed mixes, ages, sizes. If your rescue has a specialty IE Small Dog, senior dog, breed specific....Lisa will know what is there

THEY NEED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ALL THESE DOGS ASAP or dogs will have to be euthanized. Any dog removed from Cottonwood Adopt for Life will help. Big or little, they just need to get some space in there fast or they're looking at a very dismal necessity.

SUNDAY LUNCH RIDE TO MORMON LAKE LODGE. Meet at Sizzler parking lot in Cottonwood at 9:15am, leave 9:30am. Head to Sedona to pick up others and head to Mormon Lake Lodge for lunch and then head back down to Verde Valley.

2ND ANNUAL ADOPT FOR LIFE CENTER FOR ANIMALS POKER RUN - SATURDAY, MAY 3RD. Don't forget to come out and support our local Humane Society. They need your support, so come out and enjoy a fun day and know that you are helping homeless animals in the area find loving homes.
Registration starts at 8 am at the 10/12 Lounge in Clarkdale on Main Street- kickstands up at 10 am. Coffee & doughnuts served before the run. $20 rider & $10 passenger- includes ride pin, lunch and music after the run.
