🏆MATER FINALLY GOT HIS PISTON CUP! 😂⚡️

We don’t know who started the whole collectible popcorn bucket & movie cup craze… but we’ve gotta admit, this one for the 20th Anniversary of Disney•Pixar’s Cars was just too cool to pass up! 🏁🍿

So of course, we had to grab one from the theater before they sold out!

Looks like Lightning McQueen decided to let his best buddy Mater hold onto one of his Piston Cups for him! 🏆😂

Mater might not have won it on the racetrack… but hey, a Piston Cup is a Piston Cup! 🤣

🚨 State of the Mater Update! 🚨

We’ve been putting in some serious overtime getting Mater ready for his big Great American Road Rally adventure, and we’re finally starting to see everything come together!

🔧 Here’s what’s been happening:
✅ Fresh new logos painted on his doors
✅ New cab corners installed
✅ New floor is in place (just needs to be stitched together and the cab mounts reinstalled)
✅ Custom exhaust built
✅ New wiring and lights are going in to make him street legal
✅ Mater’s brand-new mouth is almost finished and ready to be mounted!
✅ We even got Mater registered and a plate to drive him legally on the road! (The SCDMV ladies were so excited to be apart of this opportunity)

It definitely hasn’t been easy. We’ve run into our fair share of obstacles, and as Richard Rawlings from Gas Monkey Garage likes to say… there’s been plenty of “Blood, Sweat, and B**rs!” 😂🍺

But despite the setbacks, we’re getting closer every day, and we can’t wait to see Mater on Route 66!

Thank you to everyone who’s been helping with this project and to those who have been following along and cheering us on. Stay tuned… the next update should be an exciting one! 🚚💨

More progress being made on our Tow Mater to get ready for the Great American Road Rally TV Show!! We got the shaping of his mouth being worked on, we got the old floor pan ripped out, and getting ready to install the new floor pan!!! Many hands make light work and always more fun with friends and family!

Unfortunately Charles will not be opening the shop today. Doesn’t happen often, but he’s not feeling well today. We apologize for any inconvenience, please come back and see us tomorrow.
