DeVoe’s will open on time tomorrow !

The walls have been washed, all the bays are the cleanest they’ve been in 30 years (since the last flood) and all the tools have been washed.

Thank you to all of our customers for your patience. Each and every vehicle was saved from any damage whatsoever, thank you to Capitol Feed for allowing us to use their lot.
At this time , the only damage that will affect us in the long run will be the alignment machine. Once that changes we will make it known.

We would like to thank a couple people for coming through and lending a hand, most of which are customers here and we are very grateful to have gotten the help.

She ran through waste high water with me trying to save scanners , laptops, diagnostic equipment that is part of our day to day operations here and somewhat irreplaceable.

With the amount of water rushing around us and into the building it truly seemed as if we were about to lose everything we have worked for. A gut wrenching feeling that insurance can’t replace.

SHOP UPDATE :

Once the water had receded past the overhead doors we were inside pushing mud, water, debris you name it. The shop took on about 16” of water in the bays and over 2’ in the tool room. With a lot of our tools being steel each item had to be removed, cleaned and coated so that they aren’t a total loss.

We were in the shop until 10 last night then back in today all day. Between last night and today we were able to get the bays cleared and cleaned, and the majority of the trash in the parking lot removed.
A lot of our items we keep in stock were a total loss, any and all fluids had to be removed and disposed of.
Tomorrow we will be cleaning our tools and getting things back in order to re-open Friday morning.

At this time we will not be able to do any alignments. Once our tech support comes out and goes through the machine we will know more on when we will resume that service.

We are doing everything that we can to get re-opened and operational as soon as possible, we greatly appreciate the help we have received last night and today. Corydon Town Hall thank you for sending the street department to help with poplar street.

All customer vehicles have been moved to higher ground , as the water level changes we will continue moving cars as needed.
As usual our customers, and vehicles are our top priority.
At this time we have left the building until things calm down. @

If your air filter looks like it could stop a water leak, imagine how hard it is for air to pass through.

I will be back in the shop/office this afternoon.
Please refrain from throwing your tantrums to my one and only employee.
Good help is hard to come by, he doesn’t get paid to hear you complain that we took a couple days off for our family away from the shop.

We will be closed the rest of today Friday 5/22 through Monday 5/25. The office will remain closed on Tuesday but will open back up on Wednesday. All missed calls will be returned on Wednesday. Shop will be operating on Tuesday.

We hope that everyone has a safe weekend honoring the service members who gave their lives in defense of our nation.
