Big thanks to the Crew at Winter Harbor making today go as smooth as possible. Had to work around some serious storms and wind but we got it all done. Also thank you to Arron at Independent Field Services for the Engine survey. This spotless Sabre will be headed to Lake Erie.

Today was CAT day! Did an external structural on a 34 PDQ that will go in the water soon. We will finish it in a couple weeks. Then we did an insurance survey on this big 48 Power Cat. This boat travels the hemisphere. Big thanks to everyone at Winter Harbor for making today go as smoothly as it could.

Among other things today we are finishing up this project, on a meticulously maintained 49 Defever. The owner chose to get a survey as it had been a few years since his last one and wanted another set of eyes to go thru the boat. The boat is loaded with extra amenities, as well as a Lithium House battery setup that is like no other.

We are right in the middle of our busy season and we appreciate all the support. I am going to start something new here on the page called "Finding of the Week". Should be interesting, educational and hopefully give you all something to look for on your own boats.

Here is the first one:

Hoses! We see this at least a couple times a week. Though this pic has other issues going on, the focus is the hose. Please prior to launch check all your hoses for dry rot, and significant wear. This hose in the picture was already leaking as you can see by the rust stain. This would absolutely cause your boat to sink when attached to an open Seacock valve. Hoses should be replaced every 10 to 12 years regardless of the visual look of the hose. This looked like it was original to the 1998 Vessel it was attached too. Luckily this boat had not been launched yet for the year.
