Sometimes our WHY walks right through the front door.
Today we had a special visitor at Leitner Designs, Horst Leitner, Bernhard’s dad and the man behind a big part of the story that started it all.
In 1980, Horst brought his family from Austria to America with a dream of building something of his own. That journey eventually led him to Southern California, where he found the engineers, machinists, and manufacturers who helped turn his ideas into reality.
More than 40 years later, those roots still run deep. The same belief in American engineering, hands-on manufacturing and building alongside the people who actually make the parts became part of Bernhard’s own story, and eventually, part of Leitner Designs.
So having Horst back in the shop today, standing alongside his son and surrounded by products that carry that legacy forward, was pretty special.
Two generations. A whole lot of engineering. And one belief that hasn’t changed:
