Just found a real drawback to being mobile doing auto repair. Something as simple as a brake job with seized caliper pins can cost the whole day and when your working on the vehicle your locked in. The advantage to working at the shop is that you can still make money if a part isn't in and you have to wait or you encounter more problems than initially informed.

OK so customer says I saw a job on you tube done in 30 minutes.

You tube does not show you the steps, labor time, tools, or mishaps along the way with any auto repair.

So if you are quoted a price and it takes a certain amount of time to do then you should know that after talking to a professional that it will take that amount of time and very seldom does an auto repair go smooth.

You tube is a reference, not the actual job that is or has to be performed.

Just my 2 cents for the day.

I have learned that if you want financial security you have to take risk and get out of the rat race. Most methods of teaching teach students to be good employees and get good jobs but know is the time to learn to create your own job and teach your children to be entrepreneurs instead of working to build someone else's vision.

To often I get called out to fix a problem that should ne straight forward. In reality 99.9 % of all the calls have more problems than information given. Then the repair process may be longer than expected because of unknown circumstances like neglect.

Today has been one of those days where every vehicle has had more problems than expected. Like an aftermarket window regulator malfunctioning after repair and shattering the window. Or a brake job that had a broken shock and abs sensor and brake line cracked due to scrubbing on tire. Etc. 5 cars in today

Well tomorrow is already full. So now its official. In back to work. Here we go again.

When I get back I'm gonna stay up on my page and post some helpful info and a few experiments I'm working on. I showed and engineer today that it is possible to not only ignite water but to use it as a fuel to. And to top it off I ended the the conversation with a Kevin Hart phrase. "man i'm killing yall, get fire on the these"

It's official. I now have to schedule sleep in my daily planning. Working on vehicles take a lot of time and practice on my instruments takes a lot of time to produce results. With that being said, I'm going to have be careful with my time and who I deal with.
