Must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a DOT urine drug test and a NON-DOT hair follicle test that will test back 90 days. Must obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate from our doctor and pass a physical agility test. Must obtain a temporary CDL learner’s permit BEFORE the first day of class. Must have a clear driving record. Violations, if any, must be cleared by Midwest. Must speak, read and write English. Must have a willingness to learn and put forth the effort to succeed. Schedule an interview with Nichol at (231) 903-7773. Submit a $250.00 deposit which goes towards the cost of your two drug tests, a medical examination, a criminal background check and one CDL-A road test with our truck & trailer. After passing the physical, take your Medical Examiners Certification to the Secretary Of State and get your Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP) with a tanker endorsement BEFORE the first day of class. This will require passing 4 written tests in General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Combination Vehicles and Tanker. Show up for class Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm (we generally start a class every 5 weeks). BENEFITS:
