Ford Super Duty production just hit a 20-year high.

The aluminum shortage that cost the company $1.5 billion is finally in the rearview mirror.

Output topped 39,000 units in August, the best month for the truck since March 2006, and F-150 production reached its highest level since August 2024. Dealers should start seeing the inventory impact over the coming weeks.

• Dealers currently hold roughly 40 days' supply of pickups
• Ford is targeting 50 to 60 days' supply, below the traditional 75 to 90 day benchmark
• August marked Ford's 8th consecutive month of y/y U.S. sales declines, down 10.3%
• F-Series sales are off 10.9% through August
• Retail market share held at 11.7% in August, stripping out fleet
