A Customer sent me these pictures of his 270, 000 mile engine he was having valve cover gaskets replaced on. We have used ROYAL PURPLE OW-20 oil for his oil changes done every just about every 6000-7000 miles for many years ... Clean as a new engine! Photo courtesy of customer Scott Engle.

Attention folks...this is in our area. Stay aware and take precautions to avoid being a victim of these POS Thieves!

WARNING: GMC Denali, especially Sierra models, and Chevrolet Silverado thefts are surging nationwide, especially in Texas, due to tech-savvy thieves exploiting weaknesses in keyless systems with devices to clone signals or reprogram keys via the OBD port, allowing them to steal trucks in under a minute by swapping ECUs or using cloned fobs.

Unfortunately, this trend is no longer just a national issue, it has reached us here in Montgomery County. Several neighborhoods along the IH69/Hwy 59 corridor in Montgomery County, including Tavola, have reported over 40 GMC and Chevrolet Truck thefts in the past 2 weeks. 8 were reported to RFPD that were stolen out of Tavola.

RFPD is working closely with Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force to solve current cases and prevent further thefts. But there are things our residents can do to help.

RFPD recommends our residents to:

Use aftermarket anti-theft devices (steering wheel locks, kill switches, GPS trackers)

Keep vehicles locked and remove key fobs

Park in well-lit areas or garages

Get software updates from dealers to protect against these high-tech thefts

Ensure home security cameras cover the driveway, sidewalk, and street and know how to operate and download videos

If you spot suspicious people or vehicles overnight, call dispatch immediately at 936-538-5900 option 2.

Another tragic loss of an area Peace Officer due to a motorist distracted and not paying attention to what's going on around them on the road. Please keep This Officer's family, friends and his fellow officers at the Houston Police Department in your prayers.

Houston Police Department is saddened to announce the loss of HPD Senior Police Officer Alex Roberts, who was killed today following a vehicle crash about 4:20 p.m. in Anderson County, Texas. Senior Police Officer Roberts was assigned to the Solo Motorcycle Detail and was conducting a traffic es**rt.

We ask for your continued prayers for his family and extended HPD family during this time of mourning.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💙🇺🇸

If I've said it once I Will say it again....I have the absolute best people anywhere that allow me the honor of their business! One great one is Mr. Mike Swaim who surprised me with this beautiful cap he made for me. I thank you for the cap and appreciate the effort you took to bring it by!
