Here's a fun blast from 's past. No, not the 1800s but rather a movie called Montgomery's Last Raid that was loosely based on the shootout of December 1868 (for accurate historical information, see https://www.visitmontgomerytexas.com/chiltondean.html). The shootout eventually led to the formation of Montgomery's New Cemetery on Old Plantersville Rd.

FM 149 was covered in dirt for the filming and the city was filled with cowboys, horses, and people in period attire. The movie did not have commercial success, but it was certainly an experience and left us with some great photos!
