Another couple of RAM 2019+ 68RFE’s for reliable work duty.
We try to cover the bases on these glass slippers, with focus on restoring hydraulic integrity & adding solid, proven upgrades.
Thanks to transmissions for oversized valve install via CNC in the pump and solenoid switch valve areas. Other upgrades to the flaxplate, converter, input shaft, OD drum and inner retainer, OD hub, VB accumulators and channel plate along with a solid choices on soft parts have served us well.
With quality suppliers like Capital Core, Mopar, Goerend, Sonnax, etc., it helps us sleep a little better knowing we’ve got solid options to keep these rigs working for the owners.

Pick yer flavor!! 1999 GMC and Chevrolet ‘Burb’s. Both well into the 200K mile range with owners who love and want to keep them working.
-Red rig had a couple small leaks to handle up front, and some bad bearing sounds from the 8.6” rear. Bearing & seal overhaul w/Yukon Duragrip Posi type install. Confirm the OE gearset is set to where its happy, and back to the owner it goes.

-Blue GMC came in for the classic NP246 transfer case issues. Installed a replacement unit w/Auto Trak II fluid.
This one also got the same 8.6” rear treatment with bearings, seals, and Yukon Duragrip.

Happy to see the love both the clean rigs get from their owners. Thanks for trusting High Gear to keep your babies rolling!

I’ve been slackin on FB posts, and for good reason……we’re busy. Between keeping the boys in the shop rolling, parts ordering, customer callbacks, building units, and personal life, its easy to forget sharing daily adventures here in the shop with all of you.
I’m gonna try to improve that, and get back to more sharing of the fun here High Gear Transmissions.

Thanks Chris for letting us install fresh Deaver Suspension 5-1/2” springs and supporting parts to get his Bronco setting how he wanted. After installing Chris’ parts, we installed fresh Barnes 4wd spring perches on the rear axle and
Mr Axle a fresh pair of driveshafts.
We also sent the tilt-column out to DRB Machine and Fab for an update and rebuild treatment. Pics don’t do the column justice, this piece improved steering feel, shift linkage feel, just all around better!!

Once we finished, Chris picked a fresh set of rolling stock to finish off the stance he wanted..
