We are currently seeking an Automotive Technician Assistant to become an integral part of our team! The
primary goal of this position is to assist the Automotive Technician with preparing vehicles for sale. This
consists primarily with driving cars. All tools and equipment are provided. Potential for full time hours with
PTO. Higher pay available with the right skills, attitude, and availability.
Responsibilities:
1. Primary responsibility is to drive vehicles in these circumstances:
Transport vehicles as needed between auctions, repair shops, detail shops, etc
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using provided OBD2 scanner (training
provided)
2. May perform or assist with basic repairs to vehicles
3. Assist in keeping lot organized
4. Ensure vehicles are locked and tags are secured at the end of each day.
5. When sales team is busy, non-sales support will be needed such as getting tags to/from cars for test
drives and answering questions about the condition of vehicles
6. Possibly assist with answering basic questions customers may have
7. For an interested candidate, some of work week would be spent assisting customers with sales. We
do not have sales quotas and do not push sales on anyone. Pay for a candidate willing and able to
join the sales team for a portion of the week would be paid more.
8. Other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
1. At least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and good driving record (required by insurance)
2. Basic computer competencies
3. Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively with a positive attitude
4. Able and willing to work Saturdays
5. Customer service skills
6. Previous experience as an automotive technician, mechanic, or other related fields a plus, but not
required
7. Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment a plus, but not required
