LESS FLEX. MORE CONTROL.

When you press the brake pedal hard, the forces inside a brake caliper are enormous.
If the caliper body flexes under pressure, some of that hydraulic force is effectively spent deforming the caliper instead of being transferred cleanly into the pads and rotor. That can affect pedal feel, consistency and driver confidence.

That is why rigidity is such an important part of our X-Line caliper design.
Our billet caliper bodies are engineered with a stiff bridge structure, and we further reinforce the assembly using high tensile strength through-bolts to increase rigidity across the caliper body.

The result is a structure designed to resist flex under high clamp loads and maintain a more consistent response, especially on heavy 4x4s, towing vehicles and fully loaded overland builds.

Every Powerbrake X-Line caliper starts life as a solid block of billet aluminium.

From there, it is precision-machined in-house to create the final caliper body with the dimensional accuracy, repeatability and rigidity we want for demanding 4x4 braking applications.

That manufacturing process gives us tight control over every critical surface, bore, mounting point and structural feature of the caliper.

Once machining is complete, the caliper goes through specialist anodising for a durable, high-quality finish before final assembly.

Purpose-built for the places your 4x4 actually goes.

Many performance calipers use an exposed external crossover tube to transfer brake fluid between the caliper halves. On-road, that may be perfectly acceptable. Off-road, it creates an exposed component that can be vulnerable to rocks, branches, debris and trail damage.

Our X-Line calipers are designed differently.
The fluid crossover is routed internally through the caliper body, leaving no external crossover tube hanging in harm’s way.
That is not a styling decision. It is part of designing a braking system specifically for demanding 4x4, overlanding and expedition use.
