To our incredible Skirts in the Dirt community đź’ś
This is not the post we hoped to share. 🥹
After a great deal of thought and consideration, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel this year’s Skirts in the Dirt race—the event that would have marked our 14th year together.
This decision was not made lightly. Due to a number of unforeseen circumstances, we simply aren’t able to deliver the experience, event, and race day that this community deserves.
For 13 years, Skirts in the Dirt has been more than a mountain bike race. It has been a place where women show up for themselves and for each other—challenging limits, building friendships, creating memories, and proving what’s possible on and off the trail. That spirit means everything to us, which is exactly why making this decision has been so difficult.
We know many of you look forward to this event each year, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment this news may bring.
To every rider who has pinned on a number plate, every volunteer who has given their time, every sponsor who has supported our mission, and every person who has helped make Skirts in the Dirt what it is today—thank you. Your support, energy, and belief in this event have created something really special.
This is not goodbye—it’s a pause.
Our hope is to come back next year stronger than ever and create a 14th Skirts in the Dirt race that is worth the wait. Thank you for your understanding, your grace, and for continuing to be part of this amazing community.
We can’t wait to see you back on the trails.
