This Engine Still Starts and Runs!!!

6.7 Cummins in a customer's truck has new holes in the block on either side of #6 cylinder rod and crank throw. From what I can figure out so far, without tearing down the engine yet, is that the #6 piston is seized, the rod broke and then it found it's way to the outside of the block. it also seems that the crank and the cam are broken, actually split. When you turn the engine over with the starter it'll spin over supper fast, with zero resistance, until you begin to hear a grinding noise and then the crank grabs and the engine fires up. Now, it only runs on 5 cylinders, but it runs. Despite a seized piston, a windowed block, a missing rod, a broken crank and camshaft. Amazing!!!

Goat Babies and Fence Setup, Working the Winnsboro Texas Land

Just a real day of work at the Winnsboro, Texas property. Brox Pace and I were doing yard work, setting fence, and moving goats after some new babies arrived. Little by little, we’re making progress.
