This year, our team at CBA Alamo Heights stepped in for a local widower in need, proving that sometimes a little help goes further than you might think.
Al lost his wife of 30 years and was doing everything he could to keep moving forward. As he navigated his grief, his only means of transportation sprung a coolant leak. After already taking out a high-interest title loan to cover the initial repair, Al received more difficult news: his radiator also needed replacement, adding another $1,000 to the bill.
Overwhelmed and unsure how he would afford getting his vehicle back on the road, Al shared his situation with the Alamo Heights team. Without being asked, and without franchisee Rolf’s knowledge, the team members jumped into action. Led by Service Manager Brian and Technician Tommy, the team came together on their own to cover the entire radiator repair at no cost to Al. They also provided an oil change, an A/C tune-up, and a three-year warranty to ensure he could drive away with peace of mind.
As giving has a way of inspiring a chain reaction, the team's act eventually caught the attention of local media. They were recognized through Fox SA’s Cash for Kindness program with a $1,000 gift to help future families in need.
