Jeff Johnson Motorsports 40 years of great automotive events! We are proud to have been involved in the collector car market for over 40 years.

The first event we promoted was a “Mopar Day” at National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Ohio back in 1981 which led us to join forces with Jim Bielenda and Roland Osborne to create the Mopar Nationals. Soon afterward we were hired as the Judging Supervisor for the National Custom Show Association, a short-lived Ohio-based indoor custom car show circuit. ational Director of the T/A-AAR Special Interest Auto Club, publishing the All-American Racer magazine and growing the membership from 500 to over 2500. The club continued until 1987 when it was reborn into one of the first all-Mopar magazines; Classic Chrysler Quarterly, which SIAC members Chuck and Ted Kuhn took over in late 1989. We have continued our freelance endeavors and have been published in over a dozen national and regional Mopar and drag racing publications. That ”Mopar Day” grew into the Northland Dodge Nationals, a weekend dealership show that was a must attend for anyone in the Midwest and beyond. In 1993 the Northland event morphed into The Chrysler Classic at National Trail Raceway, a very successful 3-day single marque car show, drag racing and swap meet festival. Before we knew it, other tracks came calling including Norwalk Raceway Park, Kansas City International Raceway, Grand Bend Motorplex, IRP, MCIR, Milan, Pittsburgh, Tri-State, US 131, Virginia Motorsports Park, plus dozens of others we had to turn down due to logistics. The Classic was regularly featured on ESPN and became the world’s first and only Mopar points series while hosting the nation’s largest single marque drag race with nearly 700 cars. Along the way, we created and hosted others such as the Neo Fest Custom Compact Nationals, Ohio Ford Expo Super Swap and various toy shows, and swap meets. We have assisted other promoters including those of the National Mustang Racers Association, the Piston Power Show and regularly receive invitations to join other venues. 1994 also gave birth to the National Nostalgic Pro Stock Association, a concept we created to preserve and race these important vehicles in drag racing history. Today you’ll be hard pressed not to read about or see images of this awesome program. In 1998 we joined the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association, becoming their National Swap Meet Director, a relationship that continues 25 years strong. The constant through all these endeavors is our love and past participation in NHRA drag racing as a driver, owner, crew member or sponsor in Brackets, Stock Eliminator, Top Alcohol Funny Car and Nostalgia Pro Stock, along with a stint in ARCA Supercar.
