When looking at restored second-generation Trans Ams, pay close attention to the details. Missing wheel spoiler welting might seem minor, but it raises the question: If something that obvious was overlooked, what corners were cut in areas you can't see?

Make sure you get a good deal with margin to fix it right. Bones are important and a numbers matching, 400, 4 speed are good bones. :-)

Not to jinx it, but I think the Escalade is done mechanically. Would the aftercooler duct pass for a GM prototype? Only yea responses accepted. 😬

Duct is custom fiberglass with straight bulb seal.

In Memory of Gordon Johncock

The Louis Schwitzer Award Committee joins the racing community in mourning the passing of Gordon Johncock, a true Indianapolis racing legend.

Gordon’s remarkable career was defined by determination, talent, courage, and an unwavering commitment to competition. A two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, he earned his place among the greats of American open-wheel racing and became an enduring part of the history and tradition of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

For those connected to the Louis Schwitzer Award, Gordon also represents something especially meaningful: the spirit of innovation and engineering excellence that has always been at the heart of Indianapolis racing. His career spanned an era of tremendous change in race-car technology, and his accomplishments helped write an important chapter in that history.

Beyond the statistics and victories, Gordon Johncock will be remembered for the competitor he was and for the lasting impression he made on generations of racing fans, competitors, and members of the Indianapolis community.

Our thoughts are with Gordon’s family, friends, fellow competitors, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Thank you, Gordon, for the memories and for your place in the history of Indianapolis racing.

A little adjustment on the rear sway bar of the Bandito. It was pushing a touch in hard corners. With any luck this will get it closer to neutral.

The move should give the rear bar ~490 lb/in rate vs. center position of around 380 lb/in. Would Herb Adams approve?
