This week we spent a bit of time tinkering with a tool that we thought might help in the search for wheels. While I can't say it's perfect, it derives data from known fitment, sources confirmed fitment, and gives guidance for adjusting offset as well as changing wheel width. We went one step further and used this data to make a wheel fitment checker tool that compared wheels you might be buying second-hand against these setups to see if they are within range of known confirmed fits.

The hope is this can save people research time when looking for wheels by having it all in one spot.

This is where engine mounts fail.

The rubber block bonded to the center plate tears away from the dome underneath it. Once that ring splits, the mount leaks fluid and stops damping. You feel it as vibration, clunks on throttle changes, and a motor that moves more than it should.

Swipe through the photos. On the right is a failed mount, torn at the neck under the plate. On the left is a competitor's mount with the same smooth solid dome and no redesign. Even the OEM update, which improves the neck shape, is still solid underneath. Same basic design, same weak point.

So we changed the mold. The Vorsprung mount has a molded relief pocket and raised side ribs under the plate, built to spread the load instead of piling it up at one ring. Pair that with materials held to a higher standard and you get a mount that keeps doing its job.

We don't just say it works. We ran it through accelerated mechanical testing cycles to verify its integrity before it ever reached a customer.

Fresh shipment of CWA-100-3 pumps from Audi arrived today. We are stocking both our version and Pierburg. While we think ours are great, some prefer the Pierburg and well... $385 for one follows the markup trend. Cables should arrive in a week or two , until then just the pumps are available. Some of our TruSeal gaskets. Made from real FKM GLT , these don't degrade due to oil additives like OEM gaskets and retain their shape better over time. Molded directly from the OEM gaskets, you can expect 3x the OEM life or greater from these. We'll probably never break even on them , but your Audi deserved something better.

Vorsprung Autowerk Update: Revving Behind the Scenes 🏁

We've been quiet lately, but it's not because we're sitting idle. We've been grinding away at all things Audi in the background. Here is a massive rundown of what we've been working on:

Uberbricks Are Back on Track: After a manufacturing letdown, we spent the last two weekends logging data and pushing them through rigorous real-world conditions. Even in their current iteration, they hit our exact target: an OEM-plus replacement built for set-and-forget durability. We are aiming for an early adopter rollout before winter as we dial in final optimizations.

New Products & Throttle Body Adapters Live Now: Our site inventory has expanded heavily. Think billet tensioners, billet thermostats, upgraded vehicle gaskets, and our popular $80 throttle body adapter plates. We've also partnered with major American warehouses to supply OEM under-supercharger components and big-brand performance parts. TorqueLock L*D Is Coming: Our Vorsprung TorqueLock limited-slip differential is now up for pre-order. It's a big engineering push on our end, and early pricing reflects that we need the word spread while we ramp up production. Market Disruption: We are bringing several existing high-dollar items to market that will drastically slash costs for the community. Divorced cooling kits, MPI (we said it), motor mounts, and more are officially on notice. Your time is limited.

Exhaust Line Expansion: Exhaust fabrication is a massive undertaking compared to CNC aluminum machining, but our updates are rolling out strong. Our test pipes have been upgraded to fully mandrel-bent, 2.0mm thick configurations with standard heat shielding, including the new Q7 4M test pipes. HEH headers and shorty headers are officially heading into production, with an improved, affordable EPA-compliant high-flow cat option coming soon.

Website Overhaul: We've spent countless hours reorganizing categories, revamping product photography, rewriting descriptions, and upgrading backend SEO (and we're already seeing massive yields). Next up: advanced part search functionality, multi-level navigation, and better organization for hidden catalog items. Most importantly, our review system is back online with a 4.9-star average and climbing. For anyone wondering if we're real, the reviews speak for themselves (we won't hate on a 4-star review, but maybe double-check that star rating next time you love a part!).
