Alot of shops offer evac and recharge services, but have zero clue how to diagnose a issue with your ac system. I got a cake this evening from a young lady that had s evac ans recharge at a chain store, ans her ac was still inop at times. And knowing what she drove and asking key questions, I told her why her ac was inop and what in the vehicle needed repaired.
Most newer gm vehicles if thr check engine light is on, the pcm will disable the ac system. And that was the exact issue she was having. P0128 code in gm will deactivate the ac system.
I referred this customer to a shop close to her that can help fix her issues as I am booked out for a few weeks for repairs.

I notice patterns. Seeing alot of 2020 and later model year cars using the newer r1234yf refrigerant needing recharge and or repairs. Higher rate of early compressor failures or what I consider to be early for the mileage im seeing. And amd always condenser damage leading to a leak as well. But thats been common for a long time.

So really good ac day today, may be a little sun burned atm. But alot of people seem to make appointments and never show, or not cancel or reschedule.
What should a small business do with that? Thinking of making a back up list for when im booked up and out on the weekend to give someone else a chance and getting that time slot..

Rav 4 condenser job completed
This civic got a compressor replacement and doing vacuum testing before charging with oil and dye.
Have another checkout at 2pm and scheduling for this afternoon!

A reason sealer does not belong on automotive or any refrigerant system. This is what happens to a shops ac machine when they recover a car with sealer in it. So what do you think it does inside the ac system ? The same type of damage
