Fall is officially here! Which autumn aroma reigns supreme in your book? Is it fresh PSL, leaves, a roaring bonfire, or fresh motor oil? (You heard that right)

Whatever your favorite fall smell is, make sure it isn't sweet maple syrup coming from your car's vents. That's a classic sign of a coolant leak in your heater core! Let us know if your car's heater smells like anything other than fresh air. We offer heater repairs right here in Columbia, IL.

A clogged engine air filter starves your motor of oxygen, causing it to burn extra fuel and lose horsepower. Over time, a torn filter can even let dirt micro-particles right into your cylinders, scoring internal metal walls!

Checking your air filter takes seconds during your routine oil change, and we're happy to help you do it at Bernhard Auto Works. Keep your engine breathing easy!

Well, that’s a wrap on another Ladies Car Care Clinic!

We switched things up a little this time around, and we think it was a hit! A new format, some hands-on learning, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of car confidence.

A HUGE thank you to all the ladies who spent their evening with us! We love getting the opportunity to share some knowledge, answer questions, and help you feel a little more comfortable with what’s happening under the hood.

And can we get a round of applause for the guys at Bernhard? 👏😂 Not only did they share their automotive expertise, but they were pretty good sports about our special wardrobe choices, too. Those outfits really brought out their personalities! 💪

We had a blast, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Ladies, what would you love to learn at a future clinic? Drop your ideas in the comments! 👇

You drive a Jeep Wrangler.

You own at least one article of clothing with a Jeep on it.

You’ve waved at a complete stranger solely because they also made the financial decision to own a rectangle on wheels.

There’s a strong possibility you have tiny rubber ducks rolling around somewhere in your vehicle.

And when someone asks why your Jeep makes that noise…

“No, it’s supposed to do that.”

Sure it is. 😂

Jeep people... how accurate are we?

🧙‍♀️ WITCHES NIGHT OUT BROOM SAFETY ADVISORY 🧹

With Witches Night Out approaching this week, Bernhard Auto Works would like to remind all local witches to practice responsible broom ownership.

Before flying into Columbia, please check:

🧹 Bristle Pressure — Bald bristles can seriously affect handling, especially during high-speed cackling.

✨ Headlights — Make sure your wand is fully charged. Visibility after dark is important.

🦇 Blind Spots — Always check for bats before changing flight paths.

🍷 Don’t Drink & Fly — If your potion contains spirits, designate a sober witch.

⚠️ Dashboard Lights — If your broom's *Check Cauldron* light comes on, don't ignore it.

🅿️ PARKING REMINDER: Please park brooms only in designated areas. No double-parking, blocking sidewalks, or abandoning your broom on a rooftop because “you’ll only be a minute.”

And remember…

If your broom starts pulling to the left, shaking at high speeds, or making a mysterious screeching noise…

We can't fix it.

Have fun, witches! Fly safe. 🧙‍♀️🧹
