Company Announcement

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Twilla Cross, on Tuesday, November 19th. Twilla was an integral part of the Otscon family for nearly a decade, and her loss leaves a profound void in our our hearts.

Twilla was more than just a dedicated team member—she was a light in our organization. Her radiant smile, warm demeanor, and positive spirit uplifted everyone around her. She had the remarkable ability to make others feel valued and appreciated, bringing joy and camaraderie wherever she went.

Over the years, Twilla’s contributions to Otscon went beyond her role. She embodied the values we hold dear, inspiring us with her commitment, resilience, and kindness. She was not only a trusted colleague but also a cherished friend to many of us.

To honor Twilla’s memory, we will remember her as the shining example of what it means to truly care for one another. In the coming days, we will be sharing ways we can collectively celebrate her life and the legacy she leaves behind. For those wishing to attend her celebration of life, arrangements have been schedule for her service on Saturday, November, 23rd at 3 p.m. at the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church located on 204 E. Ash Street in Columbia.

Our thoughts are with her husband, Toney, her three daughters, and her loved ones during this difficult time. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and will continue to support them as part of our Otscon community.

Twilla will always hold a special place in our hearts. Though her absence is deeply felt, her warmth and positivity will forever remain a part of Otscon’s spirit.

Yesterday, 31 employers from the surrounding area gathered at the Columbia Chamber of Commerce where Otscon hosted a private job fair for our employees. We would like to give special thanks to STA for providing transportation to and from the event. Thanks is also needed for the Department of Workforce Development for the various support they have shown to our employees over the last few months. We are pleased to say that over 65 employees attended the job fair, and made meaningful connections that should help with their transition after the decommission of Otscon.
