It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Jimmy Flynt, a cherished friend and devoted stick shift drag racer. Jimmy and his wife Anne campaigned their beloved 1966 Chevy II, ‘Flintstone’, throughout IHRA competition beginning in the mid 1980s. In the mid 2010s, Jimmy transitioned into the crew chief role, proudly handing over the driving duties to his grandson, Josh Barczy, as the family continued racing across Classic Gear Jammers, NHRA, IHRA, and CCRA events.

Jimmy was incredibly kindhearted — always willing to lend a hand, share a tool, offer advice, or pass along a story to anyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His love for his family ran deep, and he took great pride in sharing his passion for racing with his four daughters: Leigh Anne, Leslie, Tracey, and Alison.

Please keep the Flynt family in your prayers during this difficult time.
