Just finally getting around to posting some more pictures of this burningriverrestomods built K5 Blazer I did a bunch of work in prior to the Sema show. Fabricated panels with krist_kustoms led trim, cut up some summitracing jerry cans to house a sub and conceal the battery, cut/stitched together some apexautoleather carpet, fabbed inner windshield trim to finish off around the flush fit glass, built a console, under dash panels, modified and wrapped a fesler pad and Astrovent pods to accept restomodair vents, bunch of other small stuff I’m too tired to remember. Seats and steering wheel were expertly wrapped by jmllr0081 at Hide Originals.

So here’s one from the WAY WAY BACK archive. This was a 66 Nova interior I did around 2012, shortly after moving out of the basement and into my first real building. There was a lot more learning through trial and error with this one than there is today, but it’s definitely one I’m still happy to pull out pictures of every now and then to remember why I got into this stuff.

So, I don’t typically take on general upholstery jobs (furniture, boats, late model repairs, ect.) but every so often one sneaks in. When I first opened in Ohio the owner of Slim and Chubbys in Strongsville reached out asking about recovering a few booths. As it turned out “a few” turned out to be his entire restaurant. Since then Dave has become a great repeat customer, who’s had me work on everything from custom cars, to go karts and bikes, and every so often the occasional restaurant booth to repair in order to keep the place in top shape. These four were a quick recover during his annual Labor Day weekend shut down.

Here was another interior from this past fall. This MK1 Jensen Healey came in with an empty cockpit and a pile of tired interior bits and pieces from both an MK1 and MK2 The car belonged to the late father of the current owners and they were more concerned with just putting it back on the road to enjoy rather than restoring it to original. So I modified what we had of the MK2 parts to fit, fabricated what we were missing, wrapped it all in spradlingusa vinyl, and sourced a few random trim bits that were left. Once the interior was buttoned up I stitched up a tonneau out of some Haartz stayfast and sent it on its way.

2025 may be nearing its end, but 1979 is alive and well thanks to a ton of parts from legendaryautointeriorsltd and oer_parts from classicindustries and a few individuals who sold us NOS green parts they had been hoarding since the 80s. Ive always been a fan of the disco era F-bodies, but this particular one really struck a cord being one of only 3450 ever produced in the code 40 light green, and loaded down with an equally unusual option list. So when the opportunity arose to do a full interior in it back to its factory correct deluxe green cloth, despite the hurdles of finding a number of hard to find green parts, I couldn’t say no.
