Red Line 1F Oil Line Conversion Kit for F145 and F155 Toyota Engine (3/69 – 9/73) RL1055 (EN2-1) SAVE THE F-SERIES!!! Here at Red Line Land Cruisers, we simply love F-Series Land Cruiser engines! Over the years of working on these 50-year-old Toyotas, we’ve run into problems on numerous occasions with the 1F engines. The remote oil filter “soft-lines” have hardened, cracked, and subsequently leaked. To top it off, Toyota discontinued the 90923-03011 1F Oil Filter Inlet Hoses.

With the revival and upgrading of many of these FJ40 Toyota 1F engines, we needed to replace these forever-out-of-stock Toyota oil lines. We also needed a lengthened version to make room for the addition of aftermarket headers. We developed the RL1055 Red Line 1F Oil Line Conversion Kit that actually works with the correct thread-pitch fittings at the engine block, oil pressure regulator, and oil filter bracket! Spend the extra time cleaning, chasing, and verifying the threads before shoving the bolts in. I hope for the best! Remember, you are working on a vintage vehicle.

So you inherited a crusty ol’ 2F-powered FJ40, and you have visions of rolling across the concourse at Pebble Beach like an eighteen-year-old kid fresh into McPherson College Restoration School! Hardware, especially OEM Toyota hardware, is something we take very seriously here at Red Line Land Cruisers. The Toyota mothership is indeed a hardware nerd itself, so it has made us metric hardware nerds. The only way you can “out-nerd” this hardware kit is to have the factory hardware that came on your specific year engine. When we have a restoration project and the hardware has to be period correct, it can be a painstaking job to get the correct month-year-to-model hardware tracked down from other vehicles and engines of the same month and year! Outside of Pebble Beach Resto’ Dreams, sometimes you simply need fresh, clean, correct hardware! We've discovered that some of you are crossing your fingers and "cross-threading" the Sniper Coolant Sensor NTP threads into the Toyota 2F Coolant Drain, which is technically a BSPT threaded port (British Standard Pipe Taper). Maybe you are sealing it with some super-sealant or "gorilla-torquing" it to "permanently sealed" status. While the "cross-threaded way" may be a "fix-it-and-forget-it" backyard solution, we built a serviceable solution system. Toyota Land Cruiser cylinder heads come in "two flavors!" Why does this matter? Toyota Land Cruiser cylinder heads come equipped as either 2-Port or 3-Port (coolant ports) across the range of 40/60-Series Land Cruisers. When adding the Holley Sniper System to your 40/60-Series, the head unit is equipped with an electronic water temperature sensor. If the cylinder head is the 3-Port design, use our 2F/F Reducing Bushing (included in the pull-down option) for the Holley Sniper Coolant Temperature Sensor and disregard this Thermostat Housing Modification. But, if your 2F Cylinder Head is a 2-Port design, you can use our RL1076 2F Modified Thermostat Housing Kit to have a location suitable for the Holley Sniper Coolant Temp Sensor. If your Toyota 2F FJ60 Cylinder Head is a 2-Port design, we've modified the lower thermostat housing so you can install the Holley Sniper Coolant Temperature Sensor.
