Finally received some of these gen3 hemi blocks. Just a few quick pictures of some of the differences. Dart has 4 bolt splayed steel main caps, much stronger than the powdered metal caps on the stock block. Dart block has the relief cut properly on the bottom of the cylinder bores. Not sure why Mopar never addressed this, but the factory blocks are horribly machined in this area. Dart has a more priority main based oiling system, and no oil galley right between the crank case and cam tunnel. The factory block has the #1 main bolt hole intersecting the main oil feed. Dart has remedied that problem by moving the main oil passage away from the bolt hole. The deck of the block is also much improved over the stock block. The Dart block has a thicker deck and more support around the head bolt area. Your head gaskets will love this! There are also no provisions for the MDS solenoids on the Dart block, so no more worrying about purchasing plugs or delete kits. Lastly the Dart block can support a massive 4.250 bore size, opening up a ton of possibilities for large displacement builds and still plenty of cylinder wall thickness!! Let us know if you would like to order or build one of these blocks for your next project!
