End of the week shop walk-through.

A little bit of everything going on right now. Chassis restorations, upgrades, maintenance, wiring, suspension work, and bringing a few tired old Land Cruisers back to life. Some are getting built for hardcore adventures, while others are simply getting another chance to stay on the road for the next 25 years.

This week was a busy one, but seeing these rigs come together always makes the long hours worth it.

Here we go again.

We aren't doing a full chassis restore on this one......Just getting the small amount of rust cleaned up and looking right. This is going to be one sweet LX450.

We are building this one with a very common-sense setup: gears, lift, tires, bumper, winch, and a nice stereo. Enough to make it extremely capable while still keeping it comfortable and reliable for years to come.

Nothing like the smell of new leather in the morning.

Had all the leather redone. Not premade slip-on covers either. We gave Zac at Nomad Cruisers a try since we do not even attempt upholstery work ourselves. I asked him to stay as close to the OEM look and feel as possible, and he absolutely nailed it.

Only downfall is I spent years in that driver’s seat in my old 80. The new foam is nice, but it’s kind of like getting rid of your favorite old pair of jeans.

We love getting these unmolested rigs. This LX450 is soon to be the star of the show. Lift done right , tires, front bumper, gears, some minor engine work, and an amped stereo with subs… a stage 1 chassis restore . this one is going to be a serious setup.

One more Land Cruiser just finished Phase 2.

New springs installed… hence the awful rake. We are still waiting on the rear drawer system while the customer does a little more thinking on how he wants us to rig it out for some extreme overland adventures.

This one is getting built with the long game in mind — function, reliability, and the ability to go deep into the backcountry with confidence.
