Another post but this time we are looking at this beautiful 1964 Malibu SS. Starting with a solid foundation from Art Morrison Enterprises we added Wilwood Disc Brakes and JRi Shocks to take control of the braking and handling duties. A Rick's Hot Rods RestoMod tank with the Gen 5 Camaro fuel module supplies the go juice to the Chevrolet Performance 525 LS3 crate engine dressed with a Vintage Air Front Runner setup and the 4L70e transmission sends the power back to a Strange Engineering 9" rearend while a BeCool radiator keeps the temps in check. Making those 525 ponies sing is a custom built stainless exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. ABC Performance mini tubs were added to make room for the The Official Chip Foose Knuckle wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar rubber to keep it all connected to the road.

Everybody gets to see the finished product, but rarely do they get to see what's underneath. Under the sleek body of this 1977 Monte Carlo is hiding a power house of performance and handling. We added boxing plates to the main C-channel frame rails, a crossmember with integrated rear lower control arm mounting support to handle the 500 horsepower from the Chevrolet Performance LS3 and 6L80E. Improved handling comes from the Speedtech Performance front control arms and UMI Performance Inc. rear control arms supported by Viking Performance, Inc. coilovers on all 4 corners. A Quick Performance 9" rear end puts the power down and Wilwood Disc Brakes brings it to a stop while a Borgeson 12.7:1 Steering box keeps it all pointed in the right direction! Don't let this land yacht fool you, it handles more like a modern sports car that a 1970's boat!
