Hello Coyote owners! Take a gander at this 2023 single cab short bed, four wheel drive, UNDERMOUNT twin turbo F-150!

Just because WE like GM and that is what I prefer to work on does not mean I will not work on some other makes and models, especially when they are cool and make a bunch of power.

This Coyote showed up with an engine that was blown to smithereens. Quite literally. It had a hole in the valley, two broken rods, 2 broken pistons, and I can only imagine what the rest of the inside of that engine looked like. Luckily, the customer brought us another good used engine to go back in it! We pulled the cab on this truck, got everything torn down, and started going through it.

No job would go without some unforeseen issues! Lol! One of those things was the torque converter.. We originally were not even planning on pulling it, which ended up being a pretty good thing we decided to.
We also found the scavenger pump bolt had been cross threaded into the crank by a previous installer. So, a new bolt, a new torque converter, all the essentials swapped over, and some good cleanup later, we got the replacement engine back in and the cab back down where it belongs!

Before calling it good, we cleaned all the oil-contaminated surfaces, ran oil through the turbo oiling system, and gave it a cheap oil flush. We fired it up for a couple minutes, shut it down, drained that oil, and then filled it back up with some premium good stuff.

Again, I prefer GM, but I am definitely not opposed to other makes and models when the job is cool and the vehicle is worth working on.

2004 Regular Cab Short Bed Silverado in for what we like to call the PLUS TWO CYLINDERS UPGRADE! Also known as going from a V6 to a V8!

This truck came in with a tired little V6, but the customer already had a 5.3 that had been bored out to a 5.7 with LS1 internals, ready to rip and drop in. That definitely made our job a little easier on the engine side!

One of the things along the way was getting the TPS and IAC pigtails wired into the computer. On these 2003–2006 V6 to V8 swaps, that’s something a lot of people don’t tell you about. Getting those wired correctly allows you to retain the drive-by-cable computer with an Express van segment swap and keep everything operating as close to factory as possible!

The customer opted for some nice street-able upgrades while we were in there:
-TBSS with 90mm throttle body
-Speed Engineering long-tube headers
-Catless Y-pipe
-MagnaFlow muffler
-Factory 2006 Silverado electric fan setup & harness (no aftermarket hideousness)

That’s exactly what the customer was going for with this build. Clean, functional, daily driver, and looking like GM could should’ve built it this way from the factory… because they did!

On the tuning side, Strong Speed Works got this thing dialed in, and the results were pretty impressive for what it is. The truck made 297 WHP with a bone-stock LS1 cam, LS1 heads, and factory-style combination.

For a lightweight regular cab, this thing should be light on its feet and have more power than that old 4.3 ever dreamed of making, with a much smoother power delivery to go along with it. And with that exhaust setup, this truck has a very good sound to it!

The coolest part is seeing the finished product and how 100% factory it looks. This is the way this truck should have come!

We appreciate this customer for following along with us for the last couple years and finally deciding to bring us his truck. We truly appreciate the business and the trust!

2014 Regular Cab Short Bed Silverado in the shop for FeatherFoot Garage!

If you guys know Austin at Featherfoot.. you know he don’t own any junk!

This truck came in with a misfire on cylinder 8. After going through the basics and confirming the miss was still there, we narrowed it down to the camshaft lobe and lifter roller. And sure enough, we were 100% correct. Cylinder 8 NON-DOD lifter had gone through the cam.

Austin at Featherfoot said, “Let’s make it happen.” So that’s exactly what we did!

We performed a full DOD delete with our full BTR Stage 2 L83 truck cam kit, BTR valve springs, BTR pushrods, BTR lifters & trays, BTR phaser lockout, BTR gaskets, the whole nine yards. Everything needed to do it right!

This truck already had headers installed, which really helps these trucks breathe and makes for a great setup.

This is actually a setup we sell quite a bit, and we call it the “Daily with a Kick” package! It’s SUPER streetable, super dailyable, has just enough tone to let you know there’s a cam in it, and just enough power to let you know you definitely have one!

This truck could be yours! This one is a GOOD one. Only 89,000 miles, power interior, and an overall super clean truck. Get with Featherfoot Garage because this Silverado is for sale and will be hitting the market ASAP!!

4.8 TO 6.2 SWAP on this 2004 GMC SIERRA REGULAR CAB SHORT BED!

This truck belongs to a previous customer of ours that we originally built the motor and transmission for about 3 years ago. The truck came back to us running and driving perfectly fine, with absolutely nothing wrong with it. The owner just decided he wanted MORE POWER… And honestly, what can you say? You can’t blame the guy!

This time around, we swapped in an iron-block 6.0 that has been bored out to a 6.2L! It was fully machined and rebuilt by Hodges Machine Shop.

We went through it with:
•GPI SS3 camshaft
•New lifters
•Fresh 317 cylinder heads
•GM headgaskets
•GM headbolts
•Valve job & resurfacing on the heads
•BTR Dual 660 valve springs
•Melling oil pump
•All new gaskets throughout the entire engine
•GPI 7.425” pushrods

And of course… you guys know I’m absolutely terrible at taking pictures of finished products.. But this thing turned out AMAZING!

Absolutely beautiful Sunset Orange Metallic F-body Camaro in the shop!

The owner wanted this car to have that unmistakable cammed sound while still being something they could jump in and drive anywhere. This car sees long road trips, including events like Hot Rod Power Tour, so keeping it fun, reliable, and truly streetable was the goal from day one.

To make that happen, we pulled the K-member, tore the engine completely down, and gave it the attention it deserved. We installed a BTR Hot Rod camshaft, all new lifters and lifter trays, GM head gaskets, BTR dual .660 valve springs with all new valve seals, hardened BTR 7.400” pushrods, Meiling HP oil pump, and all new gaskets on entire engine.. and topped it off with Speed Engineering 1-7/8” long tube headers feeding a 3” catless Y-pipe into a SpinTech F-body muffler while keeping the factory SLP center-exit exhaust out the back!

While everything was apart, we went one step further and refinished the engine in Sunset Orange Metallic automotive basecoat/clearcoat. Not only does it match the car perfectly, but it gives the engine a durable finish that’s built to last. The end result is every bit as clean as the outside of the car.

This isn’t one of those cars that’s miserable to drive. It has an awesome idle, sounds exactly like a cammed LS should, and is still 100% street-friendly. No excessive bucking, no fighting it through parking lots.. just a great-running combination that’s ready to rack up miles and put a smile on your face every time you hit the key!

Next stop is Strong Speed Works to get everything dialed in on the street and then strap it to the dyno and see what kind of numbers this combination puts down. We can’t wait to see the final results!

2017 C7 Corvette in the shop to let this thing finally breathe the way it was meant to!

Over the last few months, we’ve fixed a handful of issues on this Corvette, and this visit was all about taking it to the next level!

The car already had a solid foundation with a Texas Speed Stage 1 camshaft, LT4 high-pressure fuel pump, LT4 injectors, and an MSD Atomic intake manifold. This time, we topped it off with an A&A centrifugal supercharger setup running 6 PSI of boost and made sure every detail was right so the car would perform just as good as it looks!

A stout 688 horsepower to the rear wheels! Huge shoutout to Strong Speed Works for absolutely knocking the tune out of the park. It is spot-on, and this Corvette drives every bit as good as it performs!

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

This is a bittersweet post to make, but one we’ve been looking forward to sharing…

We’re officially in our new shop!

Last week we took a few days off to get everything moved over, and while we still have a little moving and organizing left to do, the shop is about 98% ready and today (Monday) was our first full day working out of it!

It’s honestly hard to put into words what this means to us.

Four years ago, I opened this business at just 18 years old in our old location. That little shop gave us the opportunity to build something I could’ve only dreamed about. We met some incredible people, built some incredible vehicles, and earned the trust of customers who became friends. I’ll always be thankful for where it all started! None of this would’ve been possible without every single one of you!

Whether you’ve trusted us with your vehicle, recommended us to a friend, shared one of our posts, or simply supported us from the sidelines.. thank you. Your support is the reason we’ve been able to take this next step, and we don’t take that for granted for a second!

This new shop is a huge milestone for us, but it honestly feels like it’s just the beginning.

We’ve got way more room, two lifts, our own dedicated engine build room, and finally the space to work the way we’ve always wanted to. Me and Alex are absolutely over the moon about what we’ve been able to build, and we’re excited to put it to work for you guys!

As we get settled in over the next few days, we ask that you bear with us. There are still a few things to move and get organized, but we don’t plan on dragging the process out. We’re already back to work and doing what we love.. we’re just getting everything dialed in at our new home.

We can’t wait to continue working with all of our loyal customers, and we’re just as excited to welcome new faces through the doors. Every project that comes through this shop means the world to us, and we’re more motivated than ever to keep raising the bar!

This clean 2003 Regular Cab Short Bed came into the shop needing a little more than just an exhaust upgrade! The customer had been driving this thing around with long tubes only for way too long, so it was time to wake it up!

We hooked it up with:
• GPI Stage 3 Low Lift Truck Cam
• Brand new lifters & GM lifter trays
• Melling high volume oil pump
• Fresh engine reseal with all new gaskets
• Freshly milled 243 heads from Hodges Machine Shop
• BTR valve springs, valve seals, and pushrods
• E-fan conversion using factory 05-07 harness

And let’s be honest… we couldn’t put the engine back in looking dirty. It got a fresh coat of black with cleaned up aluminum accents. You just can’t beat that look!

The customer also wanted us to address the transmission since this 4L60 had definitely passed its life expectancy… (3-4 clutches were somehow still alive). So while it was apart, it received:
• TransGo HD2 shift kit
• Heavy-duty high-energy clutches and steels
• .500 boost valve
• Corvette servo
• Extra wide band
• Heat treated sunshell
• All new gaskets and seals
• Mishimoto 40K transmission cooler
• 3200 stall converter

Of course, spinning one tire isn’t cool anymore, so we took care of that too. We installed an Eaton TrueTrac along with 3.73 gears, replacing the factory 3.42s to give this truck a little more pep in its step and make sure it’ll leave two black marks instead of one!

I completely forgot to take a 100% complete photo, I can’t believe it either! lol

Huge thanks to Strong Speed Works for coming out and laying down an awesome tune that really brought this combo to life. This truck finally sounds as good as it runs! It’s a very impressive daily driver combination!

Insanely clean 2018 High Country Silverado back in the shop for a little change of pace… and a whole new heartbeat!

This truck rolled in with a Texas Speed Chopacabra cam kit, but this time around we stepped it up with a BTR 225 full cam kit. We also installed:
• New lifters
• New lifter trays
• New pushrods
• LSXceleration ported L86 cylinder heads
• Manley stainless valves
• BTR Dual 660 valve springs
• New LS2-style timing chain
• New cam phaser (the original one came apart… thank God for the safety bolt)
• New oil pan pickup tube O-ring
• New oil cooler O-rings
• CHE trunnion upgrade
• ARP crank bolt

We’ve had the pleasure of working on this truck before as well, installing a Circle D 3200 stall converter, long tube headers, and a catless Y-pipe, so it’s always awesome seeing customers come back when they’re ready for the next round of upgrades’

This thing absolutely sounds mean. Without a doubt one of the best sounding truck exhaust setups we’ve heard in a long time. It runs as good as it sounds, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
