# MYTH OR FACT?
# # "YOU SHOULD WARM UP YOUR VEHICLE FOR 10β15 MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING."
Back in the carburetor days...
This was often true.
Cold engines needed time to warm up properly.
But modern fuel-injected vehicles are different.
π₯ MYTH BUSTED! π₯
Most modern vehicles only need:
β
30β60 seconds
before driving.
The fastest way to warm up a modern engine isn't idling in the driveway...
π It's driving gently.
Why?
Because:
βοΈ The engine warms up faster
βοΈ The transmission warms up faster
βοΈ Fuel economy improves
βοΈ Less fuel is wasted
Now don't misunderstand...
βοΈ On very cold mornings, letting the engine stabilize for a minute is smart.
But sitting for 10β15 minutes every day?
For most modern vehicles:
β Not necessary
π οΈ Benji's Take:
"Start it. Let oil circulate. Then drive easy until everything reaches operating temperature."
Today's Question:
β How long do YOU let your vehicle warm up?
π’ Less than 1 minute
π΅ 1β3 minutes
π‘ 5+ minutes
π΄ Until the windshield clears π
π Proverbs 14:29
*"He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding..."*
Patience is good.
But your vehicle doesn't need a coffee break every morning.
