Hello everyone!

We are excited to announce a major merger between Schmidt Towing and Transport, Gateway Towing, and Midwest Overland to form River Cities Consolidated LLC! We saw a huge need in the community for a more cost effective towing company able to tackle any job across the board, as no single company in the area had a tow truck in every weight class... until now! With the additional support of Midwest Overland we will be providing tire sales, oil changes, and vehicle modifications at unbeatable prices!

All original company names will remain under this new company, and all phone numbers will stay active, please feel free to reach out to any of us!

Although there will be some changes over the coming weeks as we integrate the companies, the thing that will NOT change is our commitment to help our amazing customers get where they need to be safely, and keeping traffic moving at the most cost effective rates!

I, Dylan Schmidt, would like to personally thank all of you for the unbelievable support over the last few years! I never could have imagined Schmidt Towing and Transport growing the way it has and it is all thanks to you! Words could never describe the amount of gratitude I have, and I hope I can continue to count on all your support!

Another eventful week so far!

We have had 2 good recoverys- one was helping our friends from Gateway Towing! The other had been stuck on a muddy hill for quite some time! We mangaed to get them out the same day they called! With a little outside of the box thinking and 1 of our offroad recovery vehicles we had there truck back on the road in no time! In addition to that we have been contracted to help get some buses moved to the shop for a corn detasseling crew! Always a great feeling when we get to help our customers out of a pinch and a bonus when we get to do it with our friends from Gateway Towing!

What another eventful end of the week and weekend! Multiple major recoverys, several long distance tows, and a steady standard tow volume! Greatful all of the recent jobs have surprisingly had no injuries! One of the jobs we ended up renting a tractor to assist with and to greatly speed up the recovery time, this saved the customer thousands of dollars! Our job is not just to help people in need, but to also make sure we help in the most cost effective way no matter how out of the box the way may be!

Thank you to our amazing team, and to our amazing customers for always trusting us to get the job done!

To say we have been busy lately would be an understatement! We have been fortunate enought to have a good start on the heavy duty side! (So much so we have been forgetting to get pictures) We would also like to give a huge thank you to our good friends at Gateway Towing for bringing us in to help with semi recovery they had a few weeks ago!

The light/ medium duty has stayed consistently busy as well! On top of local calls we have been to 4 states over the last 2 weeks helping travelers passing through the area!

We are so greatful for all the continued support on here and from our community, as well as our amazing team stepping up and working outside of there normal roles lately! We wouldnt be where we are without all of you!

Huge thank you to RK Graphics for getting our decals done! We couldn't be happier with them! As always with our wreckers we are advertising our title as the "best hookers around" with pride!

Now we are sending #8 to Guy's Towing and Service over the next week to finish the wheel lift upgrades and this truck will be fully in service!

We are excited to announce the arrival of truck number 8!

As some of you know, we started to offer medium towing and recovery as well as heavy recovery at the end of last summer after making a few improvements to truck #5! Since then we have been running that truck almost non stop and decided the 10 ton truck could use a little help! Over the last few months we have been working to get another medium duty wrecker that can also handle heavy towing and we were lucky to find this truck out of Houston, Texas! We are still working on getting decals and a few peices of equipment on this truck and plan to put it in service in early May!

We want to thank all our customers and supporters as we couldn't have gotten this far without all of you! We are very excited to be starting this next chapter and finding new ways to help our community and keeping traffic moving!

Thank you all for the continued support!

Friday March 20th 2026 marked our 3 years in operation! What started out as something to do on the side with just 1 rollback quickly grew into a thriving business with our current fleet consisting of 2 rollbacks, 1 medium duty wrecker, 2 service vehicles and 1 offroad recovery vehicle! We are so grateful for the support of our amazing crew, customers, and friends along the way! We truly couldn't have gotten where we are today without you all!

Winter might have slowed down but we sure haven't! The last 2 weeks we have been full of all nighters and long hauls!

With non stop mud winchouts, an unfortunate amount of accidents, all night roadside service calls, and helping relocate vehicles to St Louis for some locals in the process of moving we have had every peice of equipment and tool in the fleet in use constantly!

We greatly appreciate the hard work of the entire crew all winter and at some point everyone in the company has gone out of there comfort zone and stepped up to the challenge to help our amazing customers and community! Whether it be full time help or part time help we couldn't have made it through without all of you and we cant thank you enough!

Another day of helping travelers!

Today one of our trucks is helping get a vehicle back to Champaign Illinois from the Quad Cities! This picture does not do the weather justice, it is a whiteout down here with a little under a foot of blanket snow with 2-4 foot drifts! Throw in the -10 real feel we are glad we could assist the customer swiftly and deliver there vehicle safely!

Now to get #7 home to help the other trucks catch up this afternoon!

Our Saturday consisted of a medium duty run from Peosta IA to Rochester MN! Always glad when we can get travelers to their destination!
