Did you know? Somerville Automotive's newest mechanic, Owen Prokopec, and office receptionist, Scarlett Snyder, are not only nephew and daughter respectively to owner Tom Snyder, but also the great grandchildren to the late Don Somerville. Many longtime customers remember Don Somerville when he owned Somerville Service on Little Mack Avenue.

Happy New Year! We hope you’re all having a prosperous 2024 so far.

This year, Somerville Automotive will be looking to hire a full-time Certified Auto Mechanic. So if any of our valued customers and followers know someone who has the training, skills, experience, and tenacity needed to be a part of the Somerville team, have them give us a call at (586) 294-7741. Office and shop hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday.

It is with great sadness that all of us at Somerville Automotive announce the passing of Don Somerville on July 5, 2023. Don was 93. As many of you may know, Don owned Somerville Service on Little Mack in Roseville for many years before retiring in 2019. Many of his, and now our, customers have stopped by over the past week to thoughtfully express their condolences, and it has been very much appreciated by the entire family. Tom Snyder, owner of Somerville Automotive, is one of Don’s many surviving grandchildren.
