Demented Obsession Motorsports was founded by Fred Kowalik over
fifteen years ago with the sole purpose of designing and building
mud race cars, engines, transmissions, suspensions and everything
else that gets these cars in the winners circle. Over the years, We
have researched and developed many winning techniques and
designs and have proven these theories. We have worked with companies
lik
e Ross Racing pistons in designing new pistons for our engines,
GRP Connecting rods have worked with us to design a new
connecting rod for serious nitrous use in large stroke motors. We
have also worked with Callies Cranks to design the first ever
5.375 stroke crankshaft for the standard bore spacing Big Block
Chevy for nitrous use. Racing has taken a turn and keeping up with new technology has become imperative to win and stay on top. We provide experience and advise t other
racers in order to help the sport of mud racing. Over the years,
our concentration has been on chassis and suspension design,
engine design, as well as fuel systems and nitrous technology. With the introduction of new fuels and ideas in nitrous use,
learning is key on how to utilize these fuels to their full potential. We own several computer programs that help with the design
and tuning of these systems as well as chassis tuning. Our cars
and trucks are the test vehicles for these theories and designs
and just recently we have started on a new series.... mega trucks. We are currently developing a new style mega truck
that we hope will prove to be in the forefront of the pack. In addition, Fred Kowalik has been deeply involved with mud
racing across the country with his involvement with the MRA. Serving
a 4 year term as vice president for the MRA his involvement has helped
move mud racing in new and exciting ways toward the limelight. Safety being the biggest concern in mud racing, we have been able to
advise track owners, racers and spectators on safe ways and ideas
in this sport. Track safety is an important part of mud racing and educating
everyone to help protect themselves will insure a fun and exciting time
for everyone. Drivers: Fred Kowalik, Chris Daley And Billy "Wild Bill" Morehouse
