While playing Eddie's composition "Spanish Fly", I took the universal tapping pattern used throughout. Finishing my first volume of a book series on writing guitar solos;
I wanted a piece of music to function as an exercise for students to practice identifying melodic intervals, on paper & by ear. I wrote this song today, "Interval Song by Noel Schwenk", as series of varied melodic notes to function as both music, and an exercise to identify & hear melodic intervals. Too often exercises don't actually function as a piece of music, and I'm working to improve that. It doesn't include every interval. It has enough for a beginner to become accustomed to seeing & hearing differences in the distances between notes.
