As many people know Jr Holcomb passed away Sept 13, 2022 right here on the lot. As he said many times a successful way to go would be “leave this lot with my toes up”. And he did just that.
For reasons unknown to most, the person he left in charge of his estate was not qualified nor willing to protect the thing he cared about the most, his dealership, that he worked sometimes day and night to build in to what it was at time of his passing. The decision was made to close and liquidate just two short months before what would of been 55 years in business. It came as a shock to everyone including employees, some who had worked for him for over 20 years were simply shown the door with nothing more than a separation letter.
It’s a sad ending to what was the longest running used car dealership in Cleveland, GA.
