An open note from Keith Black Racing Engines......

This is social media, and it is 2025. Everyone has the right to log in to a publicly shared page and make comments. We get it. That is the risk we take as the people that make posts, such as the recent announcement of our solid engine blocks.
That said, we also have the right on our end to block and delete the folks who want to make negative and derogatory comments. It is a shame that a post like this even needs to be made, but please go elsewhere if you feel it is necessary to make childish/ignorant comments, as we are watching, and you will be banned/blocked immediately. We are not afraid to tell it like it is, nor are we afraid to confront anyone who thinks that it is ok to act like a child. We are all grown men and women. We have the utmost respect for our very loyal customer base, but as the saying goes....

"Don't mistake kindness for weakness."

It has been well over 2 years in the making, with every single detail painstakingly perfected before going public with what has come to the following announcement.........

Seeing a need for the "Normal Guy" that doesn't have the deep pockets or corporate sponsorships while competing with those that do in Drag Racing, Truck & Tractor Pull Racing, Drag Boat Racing, and just about any other motorsport that requires a silly amount of horsepower, we have done it....again.

Keith Black Racing Engines is very proud to announce that we are now producing "Solid" engine blocks, after many, many years of non-production. With the tried and true design from Keith Black himself, along with the use of all of today's modern technology, we have a cast solid block that will change the face of all facets of racing, as these blocks will very easily hold thousands of horsepower on nitromethane, methanol, or race fuel. Extra webbing, massive priority oiling, 9/16 head studs, along with many other improvements over what KB had produced in the past, we have no doubt that you will be able to throw everything at it, and will be more than happy.

For the Nostalgia Nitro guys....... we hear you! We have listened, taken notes, and here it is. Our last nitro top fuel engine in competition was campaigned by the legendary Eddie Hill, and while a dual mag, huge pump, big blower combination on 98%, it was still a CAST solid block that made thousands of horsepower at the time. Today, with the single mag, smaller pump, smaller blower combination, we have zero doubt that your new KB solid block will be perfect.

Whether it is nostalgia Drag racing on nitromethane or on methanol, Drag boat racing, or Truck & Tractor Pull racing, this block will be a game changer, as it was when Keith himself did nothing but DOMINATE with them in competition. See a theme here? Blown injected, Turbo, Centrifugal Supercharger, Nitrous Oxide, whatever combination you have, this block is ready.

We will attach a few pics of some solid blocks as they were fresh out of our in house CNC machines last Friday. We are very happy to be able to share this pretty cool news. Earlier in the year we were contacted by Nelson Race Engines who were not happy with other suppliers of 426 Hemi based blocks, heads, and other components. We jumped in and more than met their expectations with the horsepower and reliability goals (These will be STREET DRIVEN) that they were looking for. Some like to hang on to the past, but at Keith Black Racing Engines, here is the deal...... WE NEVER GAVE UP, NOR WILL WE. Happy Friday to all of our loyal customers!

Keith Black Racing Engines, as well as Stage V Engineering have been burning the midnight oil, going nonstop to meet the demand of Hemi and Wedge engine block orders, and the same is the case on the Stage V Engineering side, where we are producing cylinder heads, intakes and our bulletproof rocker arms, among many other parts. All PROUDLY MADE IN THE USA 🇺🇸

To meet customer demand, on top of implementing some of the most stringent quality control processes, lead time on a block order has gone from 6 weeks to approximately 8 weeks. We are Keith Black and Stage V. There are simply no corners cut. Ever.
That said, we have numerous blocks, both Hemi and Wedge in stock, so if we have what your build requires in stock, your lead time is literally a few days until the block gets to your doorstep or to the doorstep of your preferred engine builder.

The racing world lost a legend yesterday. Ed Pink died yesterday, and will forever leave an indelible mark on the drag racing community, among many other forms of motorsports. When the comment is made, "They don't make them like that anymore", that was Ed in every way imaginable. We will miss you here on earth, but can only hope and pray that the legends, Keith Black, Ed Pink, Joe Pisano, to name a few, are at Heavens Dragstrip, having the very best of times.🙏❤️

Good afternoon! A little update after Hurricane Helene. Our main location in Clearwater, Florida thankfully escaped unscathed as the hurricane stayed to the west of our location. We did take all precautions prior to when the hurricane touched land, and for that reason, we have taken today and tomorrow to get everything back up to speed. We recently had a visit with Rob Wolf from Mopar Collectors Guide, where we answered some questions and gave a shop tour where we showed some of our day to day operations. Tim Banning, principal owner of KB, along with his partner Victor Bray, have very clearly picked up the torch of the top notch quality and attention to detail that is synonymous with Keith Black Racing Engines.
Since this interview and shop tour was produced, Tim and Victor have acquired Stage V Engineering and are proud to say that cylinder heads, and all parts associated with Stage V will be in production and in stock, ready to ship to you, in the very near future. Tim and Victor have no doubt that all Keith Black and Stage V components will compliment each other more than ever before. We thank each and every one of our loyal customers, followers and fans of the iconic Keith Black Racing Engines brand.
